Nissa X Genesis Wave - High Tide-ish

Oathbreaker Competitive Mono-Green Primer Ramp Value Engine

This deck is my first crack at an tuned Oathbreaker Deck. Utilizing the amazing mana doubling of Nissa(Shaker) as well as our Candelabra/Magus, we can power multiple Genesis waves during a turn, trying to hit our critical mass of serious threats and one of our haste enablers. To combat some of the more serious issues, the deck has some anti-interaction cards such as Dosan, Runic Armasaur, and Heartwood Storyteller.

Deck Combo

The central combo of the deck is NissaXUntaping+Gen Wave. Ultimately the quality of the untapper dictates the effectiveness of the combo, if you have only an Arbor elf, it will be minimal, but if you have your Candelabra, you can easily reach a Gen Wave for 20 on turn 5. But once that Gen Wave resolves you can roll into another one with the lands which etb off of the previous one. The trick is to only Gen Wave for a critical mass, that can vary from game to game, but the minimum I usually feel comfortable with is x=8. That way you can hit the vast majority of your threats and have the chance of hitting 3-4 lands which may enable an additional Gen Wave.

Payoffs

The various threats or payoffs in this deck are very creature centrist, that being said they can be very susceptible to removal, especially board wipes. With that in mind, I would suggest only playing them from hand in Alpha Strike situations or when you are behind. I have been fooling around with scroll rack as an alternative for those times when you have all of your payoffs in hand, but I have not had a lot of play experience with it yet to make a final decision.
