This sub-$200 deck revolves around the Niv Mizzet, Parun & Curiosity combo to close out games.

The plan is to either dig or tutor for one of the three Curiosity pieces / Dramatic Scepter (preferably curiosity due to the lower cmc) and win by either pinging our two most threatening opponents to death and beating the last one with Niv Mizzet, or to win outright with with Laboratory Maniac. It is difficult for Niv Mizzet to win early due to his restrictive mana cost, hence the control plan.

The deck is designed to be as competitive as possible while keeping within a fairly restrained budget, this means no moxen, a basic mana base and no 'free' counterspells.
