This based mostly on creature control.

Arbor Elf and Krosan Restorer when mixed with Fertile Ground and/or Golgari Rot Farm allow for rapid mana growth, and big mana potentials late game.

Lure combined with Gaze of the Gorgon allows me to remove all on one opponents untapped creatures from the battlefield. And if I just so happened to have [grave-betrayal] out, well now I have a bunch of shiny new creatures.

Engulfing Slagwurm + Gift of the Deity = FunAfter killing a bunch of creatures (Which means masscre-wurm had some fun) cards like Grimoire of the Dead, Beacon of Unrest, and Rise from the Grave can come into play.
