The unbanning of Wild Nacatl was a literal miracle. Its banning had represented the death of zoo in modern. In its rebirth, the deck can count on many new treats such as the incredible powerhouse that is Ghor-Clan Rampager, cutting off big parts of your opponents'life starting as early as turn two, or the now almost omnipresent Scavenging Ooze. With twelve creatures (4x of Wild Nacatl , Loam Lion and Kird Ape) that are able to hit the board on turn one, resistance becomes hard for your opponents, and their early treats can be usually removed thanks to Lightning Bolt, Lightning Helix or Path to Exile. To deal with the later game, Loxodon Smiter is very difficult to handle for control/discard decks, while Scavenging Ooze provides a bit of lifegain in longer and harder games. The last three cards, Ajani Vengeant , Thundermaw Hellkite and Thrun, the Last Troll, give you that bit of greatness that makes zoo decks so fun.
