Sorcery (1)

In a world dominated by blue decks, Norin the wary is here to show those blue decks who they shouldn't mess with.

Welcome to my first write up on here featuring a deck that I have come to adore over this past year and a half.

First off many people see this commander and think one of two things

  1. Huh?
  2. Oh nice is this from that Primer? http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/commander-edh/multiplayer-commander-decklists/217201-norin-the-wary-heads-i-win-tails-you-lose

This deck takes a lot of cards from the linked primer and many other decks that use this commander, but I have decided to take my own spin on it. This deck is mean. VERY mean. It does not care about anyone and once you start going, you are gonna get targeted. However, you have outs, and ways to start up again. Let's take a dive into the deck shall we?

Lands Show

Mana Rocks/Acceleration Show

Card Draw Show

Wheel Effects Show

Removal/Wipes Show

Hate Cards Show

The Meat Show

Other Stuff Show

And that's the decklist! Hopefully you can see now what everything does and how they interact. You will be dealing with a LOT of triggers so get ready to remember them all when you need to. I will give you an example of a generic turn that happens with this deck.

  • Untap, upkeep, draw.
  • Play a land
  • Declare attackers: Norin the Wary. He triggers and exiles himself.
  • End step: Norin comes back. Now everything triggers but you can order them since you control them.
  • Equip Hero's Blade to Norin making him a 5/3.
  • Warstorm Surge + Gratuitous Violence cause Norin to deal 10 damage to something or someone.
  • Panharmonicon lets you do it again.
  • Genesis Chamber Makes a myr token and it assigns damage twice thanks to panharmonicon.
  • Genesis chamber makes another myr because of panharmonicon and it does damage again.

So as you can see it can get rather complicated especially if you have just a few enchantments out there that play nice with each other. It gets brutal and can especially lock down anyone who plays big creatures or planeswalkers.

Let me know what you think, and also how I did on this first write-up. I tried to get the formatting to work as best I could!

Thank you!

EDIT

Tried to make the deck more streamlined with some lower CMC stuff
