Akomra is a powerful commander with game winning potential. The deck can be formidable in old-school circles - a nostalgic take on Magic's most popular format.

The main strategy is to win through commander damage. Capashen Standard offers a way to pump Akroma to knock-out opponents in three attacks. Artifact ramp accelerates Akroma onto the battlefield as early as turn three. Moat, Parallax Wave, Windborn Muse, Wrath of God, Rout, Nevinyrral's Disk, and Cataclysm attempt to slow opponent boards. Card velocity - while not ideal in old-school white - is achieved through Land Tax, Tithe, Gift of Estates, and Weathered Wayfarer. It is supplemented by the cycling mechanic and artifact solutions (Memory Jar, Jalum Tome, Urza's Blueprints, Jayemdae Tome, etc.).
