Hello and welcome! This is my first deck that i'm currently playing magic online with.This is a midrange deck that attempts to disrupt the opponents with hand disruption and then put down high value creatures to win.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Some points about the deck:
Oketra the True: She's a really great finisher and Initially I was skeptical of her being in this deck considering this isn't some kind of tokens or aggro deck but turns out she's actually amazing. If your opponent isn't running heavy removal she's really well off and even if they are you have so much hand disruption and can generate so many tokens with her ability and with lingering souls it doesn't even matter sometimes. She's also great to break board stalls.
Tidehollow Sculler: Certainly the most underachieving card, He's weak to almost any removal and what's worse is that the get the card back if he gets killed at most this feels like it should be replaced with more thought seizes or maybe some other card, any recommendations would be appreciated.
Ratchet Bomb: Another disappointing card usually you put him down a turn too late and what's worse is that it takes time to tick up I would rather have engineered explosives but that's out of my budget for now.
Wall of Omens: Good chump blocker and good card draw but certainly be replaced with something else if better.
Hero's Downfall: this card might be more relevant with the Jace unbanning but the two black is a really steep cost sometimes if you have unlucky card draws.
SIDEBOARD: This is tough for me because I've only been playing since Ixalan came out :/ I think its decent but can certainly be improved against more matchups. I recently played against burn and realized that playing against burn sucks, Usually your hand disruption doesn't mean much because they just dump their hand and sculler is especially bad since he's so easy to remove.
Harsh Scrutiny: Im' trying to test this card out it seems like a good sideboard against creature heavy decks and I love the scry value.UPDATE: turns out this card is pretty awesome against creature heavy decks, played against R/G eldrazi aggro w/BBE great value think it helped me place in a really good position during that match I took a reality smasher with HS.
Blessed Alliance: Good against boggles and burn(I'm guessing the only time I played against burn I never drew it)
MAYBE: Bob is certainly a strong card but I can't afford him to try him out so I'm currently using phyrexian arena and so far once its down and I'm not so far behind I'm almost guaranteed to win.
