This deck has been upgraded to 2.0 version. This page remains to archive card decisions I've previously made if I want to reconsider options.

A tribute deck to my favorite MTG character Nicol Bolas. The deck seeks to generate value off opponent discarding cards while having a suitable control package as well, with wipes, spot removal for a range of targets, and counters. Ideally you get one of the two draw denial cards and wheel such that only you refill your hand, while triggering your discard effects when the opponents have to toss their hands. A range of wincon options from discard damage and the odd creature recursions wearing them down to one of our 4 Nicol Bolas cards using their big boy ults. Portal to Phyrexia landing is also a brutal top end that starts recurring whatever the best creatures in the graveyards happen to be. Kozilek is just in there for discard/mill fodder that recycles your graveyard, but I'm also happy to cast it to draw 4 and have an Annihilator 4 on the board.
