Oloro, Ageless Ascetic gives you 2 life each turn, no matter what, so often I don‘t even cast him but try to get the most out of his eminence-like ability. Crested Sunmare or Drogskol Reaver are perfect examples for that. Other cards will give you additional life, such as Blood Artist or Soul's Attendant and you can go up to ridiculous amounts of life with Alhammarret's Archive.

The more life you get, the more life you can afford to lose or pay, for example in form of Phyrexian Arena, Necropotence or Aetherflux Reservoir.

Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe, Blind Obedience and Nevermore are some of the strongest enchantments in the game and give you a lot of advantages.

Because of the passivity of the deck and the high amounts of life you can get, opponents will quickly get mad at you, so you have to protect yourself: Karmic Justice, Humility (which doesn't affect Oloro as long as he's in the command zone), Ghostly Prison and Propaganda will help you out.

The win-cons are: classic Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond (or Defiant Bloodlord), but also Felidar Sovereign or Test of Endurance which were obviously not created for this format. With Vedalken Orrery or Leyline of Anticipation on the battlefield, you can cast them just before your upkeep and win the game immediately.

I don't run a lot of creatures in this deck, but Serra Ascendant and Divinity of Pride are just priceless and ridiculously strong in a lifegain-deck.

The rest is tutors, boardwipes, removal spells and other useful cards from the Esper spectrum.
