Sideboard

WIP, last updated 5 Jan 25

I'll update the description once I've messed with the build for a bit. The initial purpose of this deck was a personal challenge. I built it in paper, and was happy with how it performed, so I'll be refining it further online.

Omnath and Jegantha both ask us to build around manacosts, and express some very nice synergy with the playstyles that arise. Basically, we stuff our deck with generically useful 3-5 pip cards, spend our first couple turns ramping into colors, then play tempo. We play a lot of 3-color charms, since they subvert our restrictions, activate Omnath on reveal, and can be fully cast using only the mana provided by Jegantha. The sheer utility provided by modally castable spells is a major source of this deck's adaptability, and the chaotic and unpredictable nature of these spells make us hard to play around.

Our creature line is incredibly straightforward. They're big, they like to attack, and they like when other creatures have a lot of colors. We're already going crazy in the command zone, and our restrictions don't leave a lot of other synergies available in our creature line, so we're going to keep the board simple.

Expect major changes to this build within the next few weeks

Bear in mind: mana generated by Jegantha is always restricted. If you store it as black mana using Omnath, it stays restricted, so be sure to use it properly.
