With Angry Phoenix decks floating around, I figured I would make one change that I felt was necessary. Though poor Flame-Wreathed Phoenix may not really be worthy of its mythic status, it can certainly do some work in deck like this. It is an amazing aggro card that simply functions as a severely worse Vexing Devil. Any card that forces your opponent to make a choice that could decide the game is a good card. It puts a mental clock on them and along with heavy burn and insane deck speed, opponents will feel the heat of this little bird. It's unfortunate that this card is hardly played, but i'm hoping that a few more wins with it at my local FNM will get it into the spotlight.
