Strategies:

  1. So the main part about this deck is how searchable it is. Disciple of Deceit has mostly two mana cards to transmute with a smaller and smaller pool for each increase in cmc. This is important because the easiest game winning strategy is mostly about retrieving a lot of low mana cards. If I get Midnight Recovery one of each type can find any part of my deck indefinitely which decreases my need to scry and draw.

  2. Using Hidden Strings and King Macar, the Gold-Cursed helps me untap mana or create mana from creatures while removing them at the same time.

  3. Using Fireshrieker can not only double my cipher count and make sure creature's can't attack with Hands of Binding but also every time a cipher effect is activated, Consuming Aberration will also activate for extreme milling potential and high damage

  4. Midnight Recovery brings back creatures so that I can search my deckand keep devotion up. (I know it's horrifically over-costed, but mana ramping should help a little. Not to mention my opponent has to kill my creature to rid me of the effect)

  5. Siren of the Silent Song is evasive and removes threats from someones hand, the mill is just an extra bonus

  6. And of course the card that holds everything together is Invisible Stalker who is hexproof and unblockable for 2 making him the ideal card to cipher to.

  7. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and Nightveil Specter add blockers and essentially let me draw from my opponents deck since I hate wasting space adding draw cards.

  8. Master of the Feast is just a used as 5/5 beater with evasion, or a 10/5 if my double strike artifact just happens to be on the field

  9. Duskmantle Seer is a new card I'm experimenting with. I needed a card that does high damage at 4 cmc for Disciple of Deciet if I've built up momentum and don't want to risk slowing down for King Macar, the Gold-Cursed. Considering I'm yanking out all my mana cards from my deck and the curve is already low I should be doing more damage to my opponent than to myself. He's also extremely compatible with Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver's ult

A cool hand to start with is three mana, Invisible Stalker, fireshreiker, Hands of Binding and Hidden Strings

T1 mana

T2 Invisible Stalker

T3 Hidden Strings and untap the mana you just played then play Fireshrieker attack untap two mana and play Hands of Binding

T4 attach Fireshrieker and play almost any card for the rest of the game for free since you can untap up to four mana at once and two creatures of your opponent will always be useless.

By the time my opponent can play a mass removal spell, I usually have counters or I've emptied their hand with Siren of the Silent Song and tokens are wonderful food for King Macar, the Gold-Cursed

What makes me enjoy this deck the most is that I almost never win from luck. No deck always plays at it's optimal ability all the time so I like a deck that fixes it's card order and lets me use my library as a hand. Secondly I remove options from their hand and deck and play it against them along with my extremely efficient mana engine.
