I've been holding on to Nin, the Pain Artist for years, since the 2017 Wizards tribal precon. It's something that seems so different than everything else and I just didn't know how to build it.

Over time, I heard about Stuffy Doll , but didn't really consider it as part of the deck. Maybe I would just end up blasting my own creatures, they would probably die, and I would draw a decent amount of cards.

Then, Brash Taunter came out just recently, and I felt like it was time. I volunteered Mizzix's lands and most of the mana rocks for Nin's artistry, added in some other cards that I found somewhere around the interwebs, and decided to give it a go.

The main goal of the deck is to get out creatures that defend well and take damage well. The indestructible creatures block well of course, and they also take blasts from Nin well. They're termed as "Hit Me" on the custom organization. Of course, Darksteel Plate also helps for this to give indestructible to creatures that don't already have it, but usually they'll have other benefits, like Spiteful Sliver , Illusory Ambusher , Mogg Maniac , and to some extent Coalhauler Swine .

All of these give you ways to use Nin's ability to draw and hopefully deal with your opponents at the same time. Ultimately though, infinite mana through Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter (and mana rocks) or Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith . This will allow you to blast any creature you control, draw your deck, play a Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac to win through self-mill.

I have "Untapper" marked as a custom category as well. Sometimes you don't need to blast creatures with a ton of damage. In fact, I think it's possible to make X=0 for Nin's ability to make sure of creatures like Willbreaker or Dismiss into Dream .
