Here is a no-nonsense straight to the point red devotion deck. The idea is to get consistent damage out fast, and use Fanatic of Mogis or burn to put the game away. The deck uses 31(ish) creatures (including Sarkhan), and of these, all but the one Thunderbreak Regent, the Fanatic of Mogisis, and the Dragonwhisperers have haste or dash. That means 22 creatures that can attack the turn they hit the table The other 9 creatures include the Regent and the Dragonwhispers, which have evasion and the Fanatic of Mogis, which does immediate damage. The Scab-Clan Berserkers will be a nightmare for control matchups, and the deck should be able to keep up with most aggro decks, but the perfect draw isn't quite as good as some of the best perfect draws for atarka red or goblin decks. However, this one has the benefit of having more reach, and something to do with extra land, as the whisperers and the lightning berserkers have firebreathing and the phoenix come back from the yard with haste.

The sideboard is mostly just to deal with other threats, but the hammer of purphoros may not be necessary with so much of the deck already having haste. Feedback is welcome, and thanks for taking a look!

I have to say I was very impressed with the first test of the deck, and I was one card away from being able to draw into a win in the event.

First match was against a blue-white control matchup. The main deck scab-clan berserkers and recursive phoenixes were a real problem for my opponent. I could use the firebreathing abilities from the dragon whisperers and the lightning berserkers to bring back the phoenixes without overextending on the board. I won 2-1, and the match I lost I got stuck on 3 land with 4 fanatics of mogis.

Second match was against a white wheenie build with a bunch of first strikers and artifacts that pump up the crew. I got steamrolled quickly in the first game, and the second game was not going well, as I could not attack well into his first strikers. Fortunately, he could not remove my creatures, and my fanatic of mogis ended up doing 9 damage when it hit the table, which turned the tide. Game 3 I won easily, and I got another 2-1 win.

Third match was against a typical abzan control build. The match went to game 3, and I had him down to 1 health and he was tapped out, but I couldn't draw a burn spell or haste/dash creature at the end to win. As expected, siege rhino is a problem, and I couldn't quite overcome it.

Match four was against the sphinx tutelage mill deck. This seemed to be an easy matchup, as the scab-clan berserker hit basically everything in the his deck except for Jace. I may have got a little lucky with the milling, but I wasn't close to getting milled out and I won 2-0.

As a whole, I was really happy with the deck. The dash mechanic worked great with Chandra, and she takes over games quickly if not answered. Bringing back the phoenixes was often key, and people did not expect the fanatic of mogis, as it is an underplayed red card right now. The deck really wants three mana, but it seemed remarkably consistent. I don't know yet what I would change, as I was maybe unlucky not to take the whole thing, but it may be good to maybe move some scab-clan berserkers into the sideboard for more burn, but when the worked, they really worked.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
