"I once saw the Obzedat moved to action. Since that day, I've been thankful that they're mainly lazy, and dead."
This is the deck I am currently building for b/w Orzhov control for my local FNM. Please leave me any comments, suggestions, and +1 if you like it, Thanks
----------Card Breakdown---------
Revoke Existence
- Low cost, effective artifact/ enchantment removal
Thoughtseize - Get rid of there win cons early, gets in before counters, if played after that then they lose a counter or lose something better
Bile Blight - Low cost removal with chance at removing multiple creatures
Devour Flesh - For use against hexproof or protection from black, and in a bind you can get rid of your own creatures for some more life
Hero's Downfall - Great planeswalker and creature removal
Ultimate Price - Mainboarded over Doom Blade because of high concentration of black decks at FNM
Underworld Connections
- With all the lifegain the 1 life shouldn't be a problem in most cases and its a card when ever you can leave the one land untapped
Blood Baron of Vizkopa - Powerful creature, that's really hard to get rid of becasue of protection from white and black. Lifelink on a possible 10/10 flyer, why not?
Desecration Demon - ONLY 4 MANA?!!! crazy good card, removal and big creature in one package, not to mention flying
Obzedat, Ghost Council
- 5/5 that protects itself well with second ability and steals an opponents life every turn.
Pack Rat - Don't need all the removal in this deck? use to pump out more rats, same goes with land flooded games
Elspeth, Sun's Champion - Win con on her own, pumps out an army of soldiers and has her own removal for big nasty creatures, plus I like the idea of potentially having an army of flying soldiers and rats coming at you
----------Sideboard----------
Dark Betrayal
- If playing a black heavy deck, swap this for some cheap removal
Doom Blade - If playing against heavy multicolored creatures can be used to replace Ultimate Price, as long as they aren't black
Drown in Sorrow - kill tokens or white weenies, plus scry bonus
Duress - Sideboard in against heavy control or super-friends decks, or really anything that is heavy on non-creature spells
Lifebane Zombie
- Side in when playing against green or white to remove creatures from their hands, and a 3/1 with intimidate should be able to deal direct damage every turn
Sin Collector - Similar to Duress but provides a 2/1 body as well
