Palladia-Mors, Paladin of Voltron

Commander / EDH* Budget Casual RGW (Naya) Tokens Voltron

Ajani@mtg

My new Palladia-Mors deck. I have always wanted to make a Naya commander deck, but none of the existing options really spoke to me until M19 was released. Because the foundation of this deck is my previous deck (rest in peace, Derevi, your reign of terror is over) I kept the token subtheme that she had. However, I will probably phase this out as I get more big creatures for Palladia. I'm aiming to include the likes of Spellbreaker Behemoth and Dragonlair Spider once I can get my hands on those cards. Basically, this is a casual, big-creatures Naya deck with some opportunities to go off with big tokens and one-hit KOs with Palladia-Mors.

Updates Add

Palladia is the most vicious of her kin, and inspired by her ruthlessness, I have continued to Cull the Weak cards from my deck. Out of the deck are:

I removed the first three in part of my process of eliminating the last vestiges of the enchantment theme the deck once had: the cards were simply not pulling their weight, except in the case of Gilded Lotusfoil, which is being shipped off to another deck in need (Melek is very greedy with mana rocks).

The new cards and reasoning for inclusion are listed below: Lands:

Guess who decided to be responsible and spend some money on lands?? (hint: me)

Ramp:

Not great but I had to replace Gilded Lotusfoil with something, and plus this deck is super hangry for ramp.

Utility:

Felt bad for taking Wear / Tear out but these should be fine replacements. Bonus points for adding a dragon.

New Cards

Just some new cards I wanted to play with! Obviously I'm a pretty big fan of Ajani (see username) and even though this one isn't great I figured I jam him in for now. Maybe I should just put Ajani Steadfast in while I'm at it.... Ajani Tribal :3

I'm pretty excited for Rhythm of the Wild, as making creatures uncounterable is very relevant, and I love riot.

Overall, the deck is moving bit by bit in the direction I want it too, as a big creatures deck that can, on occasion, win the game Voltron-style, but is also just as likely to win through big ol' creatures and card advantage. If there's anything you think I should include or if you have an opinion on the deck, feel free to leave it below!
