Party Rock

Modern*

Minister

Every day I'm shufflin'.

I guess I should explain why each card is there. The idea came frm the deck irock that I also created today - a rock hate deck. Then I thought about going the Superfriends approach. This is the result. Turns out there's some good synergy in Junk (ex: junk Pod) right now.

The Walkers

Garruk Relentless   - I chose this Garruk because of it's splashability. I know that Garruk, Primal Hunter would be a better choice, but I wanted to abstain from using a three-specific colored cost. It's the same reason why Sorin Markov is not in this deck. Over all, however, this Garruk can be used quite well. A creature a turn is always great, but flip him over and now you have a Typhoif Rat each turn, or sac a Viridian Emissary for a land and to thin out your deck and get another mana maker.

Liliana of the Veil - Her discard is great along with the Surgical Extraction, and the sac ability is way too nice. Her ultimate obviously isn't use much, but it does go in the spirit of a rock deck, doesn't it?

Gideon Jura - What can this guy not do? He's an amazing wall, can beat face, and destroy a creature each turn if he wished. He's probably compensating for something, because no card in this deck supports Gideon more than Gideon himself. Easily a win con.

Elspeth Tirel - Keeps me alive and gives me, alongside Garruk Relentless   chump blockers that turn into beasts alongside Angelic Destiny.

The Creatures

Avacyn's Pilgrim, Birds of Paradise, and wiridian emissary are all about getting the mana needed for this deck to run properly.

The Hate

Day of Judgment - clears the way for my tokens which next turn I can Angelic Destiny.

Beast Within - Go ahead, Give 'em a 3/3... to sac with Liliana of the Veil. This is just straight up destruction, and is useful with anything in your hand. Turn a free 1/1 Soldier into a 3/3 beast f you want. Kill an important land of theirs. Just over all a great card.

Oblivion Ring - Nothing new under the sun here, just a good card.

Dismember, Go for the Throat - creature destruction, plain and simple.

Surgical Extraction - this is a personal preference card. With an entire graveyard block present, it seems like common sense to use deck destruction that targets, well, their graveyard. Kill one win con, you kill them all.

The Support

Altar's Reap - great synergy with tokens and with Viridian Emissary. Thanks to zandl whose rock deck gave me the idea to put it in.

The Win Con

Angelic Destiny - Turns your babies into baddies.Works well the tokens, the mana making creatures.

I've only tested this deck a few times, but it seems to work very well. The win cons are the following: Tokens, Angelic Destiny, and Gideon Jura .

I've considered putting Gavony Township and Sun Titan in this deck, but I wasn't quite sure.

Sideboard will be worked on soon.
