Patron of the Moon is such a good commander in the matter of a mono-blue combo/control deck. Look at this decklist, feel free to comment and help me improving this deck!

Bouncing lands and abusing this ability is they key!

Update 11/2020: Swapped out Training Grounds, Cryptic Command and Sapphire Medallion to make this deck more budget-friendly. In came: Swan Song, Narset's Reversal and Mystic Remora.

Rework under construction - description coming soon!

  • so at first glance we play a mono-blue commander and big parts of the deck are doing simply mono-blue things: on the one hand control by various interactions like board-control and counterspells and on the other hand (artifact-)ramp.

  • this deck is a combo-deck and so we have to secure our way to one of our winning combos.

  • we can tutor pretty hard in mono-blue too, which makes this deck even more focussed and efficient for a rather fast win (especially in case of missing the more controlly cards - so many cards are either control or tutor, so most of the time we should be on the rather safer side with this deck)

  • also we have kind of a tribal deck with some of (the fairly bad) moonfolk from kamigawa - but while it is nice to have them flavourwise, we can see later we really want to abuse their land-bounce abilites (= the "Moonfolk-Ability")

There are many different combos in this deck.
