Inspired by a deck I used in the MTGA Pauper event recently and a Loading Ready Run video where Adam used a similar theme in a budget theme, I put together this Saproling deck! The deck likes to swarm the board and get value of sacrifices, particularly when Falkenrath Noble is on the board. The noble is probably the main win-condition that forces an opponent into awkward situations with combat. Even if they don't want to kill your creatures in combat, there are plenty of ways to kill them yourself (that are still decent value without the Noble). From play-testing, the deck is relatively mid-range with enough tools to take out most early game creatures before building up a board-state and then ideally winning within a turn or two through combat and/or drain effects.
I'm still a bit torn on whether or not Foul-Tongue Shriek should be main-boarded or left in the side as it can help close out games a turn earlier or even stabilize a bit against aggro, but I find it to be a bit win-more in that it works best when you're already winning on the board.
Side board seeks to minimize damage taken against things like Electrotrickery with Blinding Fog or Symbiosis and Caustic Caterpillar is nice for some non-creature removal. Undercity Uprising is in the sideboard for extra creature removal and pressure, but I feel like it will often just be a more expensive Bone Splinters so I am still unsure on this one as well.
If anybody has any suggestions, please let me know! Ideally I want this to stay a super-budget option, but I'd love to see what else could make this better. Specifically, I would love to be able to replace Might of the Masses and/or Symbiosis with better board-buffing effects, but I hadn't seen any common cards that could work for that while I was looking through cards.
Thanks for checking this out!
