A Peasant EDH/Commander Deck is a 100 cards singleton deck that features commons only, with the exception of 7 uncommons and 1 Commander that may be an uncommon. But these rules tend to vary!

I think Peasant EDH is a very nice alternative to Pauper EDH, as it is still very close to it, yet has a refreshingly slightly higher power level.

This deck is mostly based on value and tries to take over the board with superior creatures. It profits from green's natural advantages: Ramp and good creatures. Additionally, it abuses ETB triggers and can rely on a nearly invincible commander.

The 7 uncommons:

Acidic Slime: is a class act. There are a lot of annoying artifacts and enchantments in Pauper/Peasant and you can even start killing your opponent's lands!

Garruk's Packleader: Asides from being a relevantly sized creature, this guy is good at what green usually isn't: drawing cards.

Pelakka Wurm: A great card. Usually the biggest creature on the battlefield and if you're low on life, you can simply start bouncing him.

Artisan of Kozilek: Expensive, but if not handled quickly a real threat. Recursion plus Annihilator on a big body, just what I want.

Elemental Bond: The Packleader's ability.

Harmonize: Because the Packleader and Elemental Bond are not always there.

Howl of the Night Pack : Should win you the game. Strangely enough, I've never been able to get more than seven tokens out of it so far...
