My favorite EDH deck. An unholy synthesis of Phyrexia and the Blind Eternities coaxed forth by the lost dark arts of planeswalkers thought lost from a time before The Mending.

This is a no-holds-barred, no expense spared, mono-black control deck that is the bleeding edge of fair. I say this because the only infinite combos are mana-generating...and you still have to do something with it. There is no guarantee that equates to milling someone out with Geth. Rather, it ramps hard and fast by being an artifact deck that uses all the rocks and tries to disrupt all opponents (and especially blue ones), before they can get setup.

I made some changes around the edges. I took out Ill-Gotten Gains (recursion) and Leyline of the Void (GY Hate) that also combo'd together so that I could put Wurmcoil Engine back in (just so good) and also Conqueror's Flail as a new addition since it was just printed. Other changes included taking out To the Slaughter and replacing it with the far more recurable Fleshbag Marauder. I like to go get my Vedalken Orrery often when I have a tutor to play but no obvious threats to address or pieces I want, which just makes Fleshbag better for my deck. I also reduced the land count down to the barest minimum of 34 and took out Myriad Landscape (a bit slow) and put in Wayfarer's Bauble and Armillary Sphere. A deck like this has LOTS of artifact ramp and these ones replace themselves with land while also upping my artifact count for Metalworker (34 other artifacts). Finally, I took out Succumb to Temption (I already have Sign in Blood, Night's Whisper, and Read the Bones) and put in Dimir Machinations. This is to primarily tutor for Necropotence - FAR superior to Succumb to Temptation. However, if needed, it can search for an unconditional tutor, boardwipes, or a WinCon. There are a lot of powerful cards at a CMC of 3. I may rarely use the actual spell effect of Dimir Machinations outside of a corner case where I'm purposefully ruining someone's Vampiric/Mystical Tutor or Scroll Rack use - but it's good to have.
