So I was listening to a podcast which inspired this deck idea. And I have a few questions regarding if this deck will work.

So the ultimate goal is to get Phyrexian Unlife and Melira, Sylvok Outcast onto the battlefield at the same time. Phyrexian Unlife makes it so that having 0 life doesn't lose me the game and the opponent deals damage in the form of poison counters. But, having Melira, Sylvok Outcast makes it so I can't get poison counters.

So my idea then was to use creatures with phyrexian mana and just pay the life cast. Now I assume that once I'm at 0 life, I won't be able to do that anymore correct? I'm guessing it would be too good to be true to just go into negative life.

And then I threw Cauldron of Souls in there so if a creature of mine is going to die, Cauldron of Souls will put persist on them, they will come back into play and Melira, Sylvok Outcast will prevent the -1/-1 counter and I can hopefully prevent my creatures from actually dying.

Birthing Pod and Dismember would be great to use but they are just too expensive right now.

So like I said, I have the underlying combo that I want but would like some help on things to play around it. Any advise would be great.
