Main board Teeg, who is criminally underplayed will give you a fighting chance against combo decks like bloom, collected company decks, twin, etc and scavenging oozes for griselbanned and other gy based decks.

With Liege, most of the creatures will get +2/+2 which could potentially overrun your opponents.

On the side board, we have thoughtseize that deal with unfun/unfair combo decks like Grisellbanned and Amulet Bloom. And rest in peace to deal with graveyard reliant decks like Grisellbanned and Living End.
