I started playing in Oct. of 2014 so I have a very limited card collection. Mostly I have played BW or BG to get an understanding of play and liked running life gain decks. This is my first tri colored deck so I'm trying to get the right amount of mana in my deck along with deciding if tokens is the way to go. The major issue is I have no shock or fetch lands to help out on the endeavor besides two Evolving Wilds, but have multiple tap lands (Scoured Barrens, Bloodfell Caves).

Questions I have are:

Would Soul Foundry be benificial to attach a Mardu Hordechief to pump out tokens?

Is Sowing Salt viable, as I keep running into decks using UrzaTron and Nykthos?
