Poseidon's Fury-Derevi taps

Commander / EDH

Wannaseeamagictrick

Maybeboard

This is a semi-casual EDH tribal deck centered around the theme of all things Ocean and island like. The main focus of creatures here are merfolk and wizards and take advantage of taps and untap effects along with a few other fun tricks up their sleeves. The deck runs pretty solid for me as of now in my play group and im still taking and giving so any advice would be great. Use Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to untap just about anything you need along with any creatures you used to swing in with; be that land for the numerous amount of counterspells or what have you. Overload the board with creatures and tokens and control your opponents abilities to wipe them out.

A fun combo here is if you can kick Rite of Replication + Prime Speaker Zegana with a fat creature on the field and draw a large amount of cards and with two cards in deck that allow an infinite hand size, it makes your opponents sweat a little bit. Im looking to add a few other big guys to the deck like Breaching Leviathan or Great Whale and Thing in the Ice   but its tough making cuts There are a few cards that you can add obviously to make the deck better cough cough Force of Will but as of now this is what im running until I add more to it. I will update as I go along. Please feel free to add suggestions and tell me what you think. I love tribal decks so this one has been a lot of fun to build and play around with.

1st update: I took out metallurgic summonings and replaced it with thing in the ice. It's surprisingly easy to flip especially when it gets targeted often
