U/R (Izzet)

Like a lot of people I was very Interested in this color combination. With Shrapnel Blast, Scutling Doom Engine, Ensoul Artifact and Darksteel Citadel or Ornithopter the combinations seemed infinite.But now the problem of making a consistent deck. Well with the help of Prognostic Sphinx and Steam Augury that must be possible. There are a couple other cards that can help like: Magma Jet, Chandra, Pyromaster and of course Temple of Epiphany . These cards in combination with the drawing power of Steam Augury will make your games a lot more consistent.

Maindeck

The Synergy in this deck is almost limitless. Most card interact with each other to do some nasty stuff. Generator Servant + every card in your deck. You are able to cast 4 drops (or higher) out of no where. A nice surprise to cast an instant/creature when you don't have enough lands/mana open and give that give a creature haste.Shrapnel Blast this card is good in any deck that runs artifacts. When your creature is about to die cast it to deal 5 damage to their face or kill one of their creatures. this works especially well with Scutling Doom Engine to deal 11 damage. Chief Engineer is here to block in the early game and help you cast artifacts. It works well with a Turn 1 Ornithopter to ramp into a Juggernaut on turn 3 or a Scutling Doom Engine on turn 4.Ensoul Artifact this card gives you some extra creatures like a 5/5 Indestructible Darksteel Citadel or pump Ornithopter to a 5/5 Flyer. Steam Augury you can run out of gas really quickly with this deck. Together with Prognostic Sphinx you can set up your combo's or get more cards if needed.Haunted Plate Mail this card can be very use full against control it stays on the field after a board wipe and you can equip it to your other cards making them more powerful. this means Ornithopter has more use late game and against enchantment removal.Keranos, God of Storms he will allow me to filter trough card/draw cards or deal 3 damage. It has nothing but upside. He will probably never become a creature but that's not why he is in this deck.
