My take on Angel Pod in standard. Once I saw
Yisan, the Wanderer Bard
I wanted to try it out.
The Core
Ramp
4x Elvish Mystic - The only 1 drop reliable ramp there is.
4x Sylvan Caryatid - The hardest to remove 2 drop ramp, also mana fixes.
Searching
4x Chord of Calling - A bit expensive, but if you have a few creatures out this can be insane and being instant speed is just nuts.
3x
Yisan, the Wanderer Bard
- A little slow, but if it sticks around it's just incredible value per turn.
Disruption
3x Thoughtseize - The best hand disruption spell in standard, helps to protect your dudes.
4x Abrupt Decay - Eats pesky creatures/enchantments below 3 mana, I have thought about going to 2 Abrupt Decay and 2 Hero's Downfall.
The one-ofs
1 Drops
Wasteland Viper - The only two toughness 1 drop with deathtouch. Also can be a combat trick.
Deathrite Shaman - Lifegain or damage depending on the situtation
2 Drops
Phyrexian Revoker - Pithing needle (ish) with legs, great against planeswalkers
Brain Maggot - Thoughtseize on legs, though it can suck if they have removal.
Fleecemane Lion
- Good creature early or late due to monstrous
Scavenging Ooze - GY hate, lifegain and can get huge.
3 Drops
Banisher Priest
- Creature based pseudo removal
Courser of Kruphix - Card advantage and incidental lifegain which can be nice.
Sin Collector - Get rid of those pesky spells
Reclamation Sage - Get rid of those pesky artifacts/enchantments
4 Drops
2xPolukranos, World Eater - Huge fatty who can be removal later on.
5 Drops
Archangel of Thune - Bring you back from death, buff your team and combos well with incidental lifegain creatures.
Arbor Colossus - Trying this guy out as Stormbreath Dragon hate, he's also a nice beater
6 drops
Soul of Theros
- Great creature who even if it dies you can still use the ability to get some advantage.
