Rafiq of the Many is my favorite General! He doesn't get enough love so I want to spotlight him, and his artist, Michael Komarck. I have been working on this deck and appreciating this art since I was a young man, hands down one of my favorite artists in MtG. This deck revolves around setting up a protective zone to play Rafiq then keeping him protected long enough to deal 21 General (Commander) damage. Virtually every card in this deck is solely dedicated to getting Rafiq to get through the enemy defenses as quickly as possible. I will do my best to illustrate the purpose behind each card choice and how I premeditate my strategy based on the deck I am going up against. While this deck excels in 1v1 scenarios I am always looking to make it more powerful in multiplayer games. Please comment below and let me know any suggestions or questions you may have. Thanks!

This bad boy is loaded with all the most OP cards in the game. It leans more on the enchantment side to synergize more with the deck as a whole. An artifact leaning version may be made to replace this one at some point. Certain Equipment have made the list for obvious reasons. The deck is not ultra complex but explaining some of the important interactions and combos may be needed for newer players.

Let's start with Deadeye Navigator. He can be used to create a myriad of infinite combos. Peregrine Drake gives infinite mana which enables Eternal Witnessfoil to give infinite grave recall for cards such as Time Warp or other cards to pull every land or creature from your deck into your hand/battlefield. Acidic Slimefoil or Aura ShardsDestroys their objects. Sun Titan and Phyrexian Metamorph are useful, Etc, etc.

Eldrazi Conscription is the most important Aura for Rafiq. Unfortunately if you use Sovereigns of Lost Alara to play it the Annihilator will not activate but that's alright. What we really want is the +10 and Trample. It's all Rafiq needs on the offensive side to end the game.
