I came 2nd at my local FNM this week on this decks first outing. We had a bit of a weak turn-out this week with only 28 players compared to our usual 35-40. We still got a good 5 rounds out.
I forget what round 1 was but I won 2-0.
I came up against a junk tokens deck in round 2 who was unable to do anything much when facing down my Legion Loyalist and a bunch of dudes, game 2 I didn't get a loyalist but he didn't draw many creatures anyway so I just pushed through with all my dudes. 2-0
Round 3 I came up against a smug little kid playing Werewolf/humans who usually does reasonably well. First game I kept him on the back foot and there was nothing he could do, game 2 I let him build too much and when he slapped down a mayor there was not much I could do. Game 3 I was back on the all out aggro front and beat him easily. 2-1
Round 4 was I think some sort of Naya but I kept him on the backfoot so much that his last move was to drop a Thragtusk into his empty field but I had a pyreheart wolf on my side so when I dropped the Hellrider it was game. I don't remember the specifics of the 2nd game but I won it easily. 2-0
I played a reanimator of some sort in round 5. First game he got a Thragtusk and a couple angel of serenity's down and stole all my dudes and it was game over man. Game 2 I came out swinging, he didn't get anything into his graveyard and was trying to build to hardcast stuff I think, too slow. Game 3 I hit up against some tokens that I coudn't get though and while trying to find answers he built to enough mana to hardcast a couple Thragtusks, Serenity's and Restoration Angels. 1-2
Overall I am happy with how the deck plays, needs a few adjustments as I don't quite have all the cards seen above. Currently I have only 3 Blood-Crypts, 1 Searing Spear (replaced with Annihilating Fire), Sinister Possession instead of Pillar of Flame. By next standard FNM I plan to have it 100%
