Typical Rakdos Aggro as far as I'm aware.
The aim is of course to win as fast as possible. Drop out creatures as fast as I can, reserve burn spells until their life is within reach, or until I need to clear a path.
Fanatic of Mogis comes in when there's a stalemate on board, and
Hellhole Flailer
is just a versatile badass. People never seem to account for his Sac ability, which is just wonderful for me.
As long as I have a mediocre hand or better, I can usually win turn 4-5 unanswered, and 6-7 with a normal amount of resistance.
It hasn't had a whole lot of variety playtesting, but what it's faced it's won about 4/5 times.
My main concern is top-decking after most of my creatures get answered. I've gotten a lot of lucky burns from top-decking that finish off the opponent at a low-life stabilize, but that can be unreliable.
Also, for what it's worth my FNM meta typically runs mono-black, control, or RDW.
Here's where I need help.
Is 4x
Dreadbore
in maindeck excessive?
What else can I do to this to make it more consistent and fluid?
Sideboard suggestions, and why?Anything I should mainboard, or sideboard?
Reasons for certain cards:
Thrill-Kill Assassin
She's versatile for different situations. If I have board control and drop her, she's great to keep 2 damage swinging each turn without much fear of removal. If they have field control she's great to stop the fatties in their tracks. When facing tokens or mirrors, she can be swapped for Electrickery pretty easily.
Splatter Thug
He surprisingly seems to pull his weight. Same as
Thrill-Kill Assassin
, players are reluctant to block him, and if need be, I can drop for short-term defense.
Rakdos Charm It's my flaming answer to tokens primarily, but it's great when you get an opponent low on life but then gain battlefield control. It's saved my butt a couple of times.
Suggestions, tips, advice of any kind? All is appreciated!
