Hello, I'm working on a RUG deck for standard. I originally wanted to make a simic deck ( in response to the new planeswalker), but in play-testing, managing creatures and counter-spells put too much stress on prophet. The recent appearance of R/G monsters piloted by BBD and CVM made me think RUG could work. The basic idea is that it is a primarily green deck which splashes red for Xenagos and Stormbreath, and blue for prophet, Jace, and Primespeaker. I feel that there are quite a few great creatures and planewalkers in each of these colors, and that this deck could be quite interesting. I'm dropping domri rade for other cards for several reasons. My curve is a bit higher than other decks, and so it is more synergistic to put in other more efficient card drawers in Jace, Prime Speaker, and Garruk. With Xenagos, some mana dorks, lots of land, and Prophet, I should have a good engine to drop hay-makers. With access to 3 different planeswalkers, I feel that this deck has a better chance against control than other G/x decks.
So, if you read this far :), I'm looking for suggestions. I'm looking for a solid sideboard sideboard, and changes to the main 60. Any and all observations, thoughts, criticism, and pointers are greatly appreciated. Thanks :D.
