Still a newb deck, yet here's a quick idea and combo explanation:
Deck is arranged around Hellbent mechanic and quick damage with little to no damage prevention.
The main idea is to fill the board with fairly cheap expendable attackers, that will hold until combo.
MAIN COMBO: Megrim +
Pain Magnification
+
Anthem of Rakdos
on Hellbent
Megrim damages player for 4 when discarding (thanks to
Anthem of Rakdos
), which triggers
Pain Magnification
and back to Megrim, effectively dealing 4 damage for every card in opponent's hand. Wheel of Fate exists to fill opponents hand with cards, and while we can discard them immediately, one Fiery Temper,
Rakdos Augermage
tap or even an attack by
Trespasser il-Vec
is enough to trigger 7x4=28 instant damage.
Another finisher seems to be storing unused mana in Molten Slagheap in response to enemy end of turn, then dumping it all into a single
Demonfire
.
I have to playtest this to get a feeling, whether it will be better to wait with hellbent until Anthem is on table (making Gobhobbler Rats futile) or will it be beneficial to get hellbent ASAP (meaning more hellbent cards). In Maybe i put
Goblin Outlander
and
Acidic Sliver
, that can replace Gobhobbler if need be.
