Card Usages
Arc Trail: A Chandra's Phoenix enabler, and also has great synergy with Snapcaster Mage and Past in Flames with Burning Vengeance. Overall good removal, I cant hit two creatures at it's worst.
Brimstone Volley: So let me get this straight... I can deal 5 damage, for 3 mana? Ummm sign me up please!
Burning Vengeance: Definitely one of the most important cards in the deck, I have a lot of flashback and can clear the board quite quickly once I get one or two of these out, plus I only have to cast ten flashback spells for it to kill a player. Outstanding.
Chandra's Phoenix: Another wincon, I have a decent amount of direct burn, and the 2 damage a turn can quickly put the pressure on my opponent.
Chandra, the Firebrand: Works with chandra's phoenix and is a beatdown in general. Good pinging and copying a devil's play is always fun to do :P
Charmbreaker Devils: A beatdown of a card, +4/+0 each spell is very powerful, and the recursion helps this deck out a lot.
Delver of Secrets: Another beatdown of a card, with so many instants and sorceries it transforms very easily, no problem transforming it.
Devil's Play: Great late in the game for finishing off an opponent, and just as good early on against any size threat, plus it is a double enabler for chandra's phoenix as well as being good for Burning Vengeance.
Geistflame: So many 1 toughness creatures in standard, geistflame is so effective, it can take out 2 creatures with one card, and that is apparantly good.
Incinerate: One of the best burn spells out there in my opinion. Works with Chandra's Phoenix and Burning Vengeance. It is great for removing most threats out there, including Mirran Crusader,
stormkirk noble
and Wurmcoil Engine tokens, as well as most tokens.
Past in Flames: One of the big hitters of the deck, I can recast a ton of removal, triggering Burning Vengeance as well as possibly Chandra's Phoenix. I used to run four, but I can cast each of them twice, so it works fairly well.
Slagstorm: Good for wiping the board, getting rid of pests early game, and also good for Chandra's Phoenix when I need it to.
Snapcaster Mage: No real explanation necessary here, but it is great for counterspells, instant speed blocker as well as some removal, mainly instead speed answers but can help with Burning Vengeance and Chandra's Phoenix Possibly.
