This is my first attempt at a (mostly) mono-red dragons deck. It is less aggro than most red decks lately, but the hope is it will have more reach, as it seems that things may slow down a bit after Zendikar comes in and Theros goes out.
The idea is to have some early board presence to link to the flying dragons and/or Chandra. In previous decks, if I could untap with her it was almost a guaranteed win, and Atarka's Command, or another instant, can flip her all by itself. (Attack, cast the command), do combat damage, and then tap.) The green in the deck is exclusively for the command, and the black is for Kolaghan's Command and Kolaghan.
In limited testing, the splash for green and black has been almost free and not ruined consistency due to the new zendikar lands, as all eight fetches can get any land in the deck. I am fairly confident that this should be as consistent of a three mana color base as I have seen in standard in a while. 24 lands may seem like a lot, but the 8 fetches should hopefully provide thinning and the deck seems to want to get to 4 lands by turn 4.
Sideboard tech will need to be established but I was thinking that dark dabbling could protect from any non-languish board wipes, (and atarka's command could protect against languish for the dragons). Radiant purge could be a flexible boardwipes.
Please let me know your thoughts. I am especially contemplating changing up the 2-3 drop creature slot, or perhaps going with more lightning berserkers, as all the red mana lets them trade up, and the dash can help to flip Chandra.
