Are you tired of Commander decks that play the same every time? Do you often gravitate to staples, like Sol Ring or Consecrated Sphinx? Do you wanna find a spot for that Permeating Mass? Well do I have a deck for you.

May I present the Reject Rare Commander deck!

What is a Reject Rare?

You may have heard of Reject rare draft. A fairly old format for those rare you never use but still have a soft spot for. This is the same idea. Wanna play that Kheru Lich Lord but it terrible and doesn't fit into a deck. Here you go! Wanna win with Mortal Combat? Go for it. The idea of this deck is to just use whatever funky soft spot rates you have.

What's with the 200 cards?

Here's the idea. You separate the core from the rest of your deck. Then when you go to play, pick eight random cards for each of the 5 colors and ten Multicolor/Artifact cards. Then shuffle and enjoy. If for some reason you are a madman, you can add the sideboard and just shuffle the whole deck together.

How do you decide what goes in here?

You can put whatever you want in this deck, but I was a little picky about my choices. These are general rules about the cards I put in here, though I did break them for specific cards so Eh.

• It had to be a rare. Duh. (Though you could play some funky uncommons like Sunbond)

• It had to not see significant play in most formats. I can't keep track of stuff like Penny dreadful but Standard, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper ECT.

• It had to not have a synergy with a popular commander. Stuff like Unspeakable Symbol is more well known now with Marchesa decks swarming.

• There needed to be a chance it would be good. In addition to stuff like Bloodbond March which does nothing in commander, you have cards like Titan of Eternal Fire which you have to play humans to win with. I wanted more generic good cards

• Finally, it needed to feel weird and awesome. This is entirely subjective and was simply just cards I felt like were cool

I plan on putting more cards I happen to acquire in the deck as I go. As well as removing unfun cards. This is the change log.
