Playing Control
Control uses powerful interaction like Counterspell and Swords to Plowshares to maintain control of the board until a powerful threat can be deployed. More lands than usual are played to take advantage of cards like Power Sink and Jayemdae Tome.
Remember, there's no rush to play your finishers. Wait until you have a Counterspell to play Serra Angel!
The primary win-con is Serra Angel, an incredibly difficult creature to deal with in Revised 40. It cannot be easily blocked, is not killed by Lightning Bolt, and acts as a blocker for you. Control Magic can steal your opponent's big threats, and Braingeyser can target your opponent as a back-up win condition.
