-RGW Naya Little Zoo (No Goyf)-
[Modern, Competitive, Aggro]
This is the current IRL-form of my Naya Zoo deck. I call it Little Zoo because I don't maindeck any creatures with CMC of 3 or higher (barring Ghor-Clan Rampager, but rarely do I hardcast it). The Zoo strategy is simple and straightforward: play powerful, cheap creatures and support them with burn/pump spells.
Core of the creature base is: Wild Nacatl, Kird Ape, and Loam Lion. Experiment One supplements the low-cost creatures that enter as 2/3s or 3/3s and if you can evolve it twice, it provides a little padding against answers like Anger of the Gods. Fleecemane Lion is honestly pretty meh, but if a game goes a little longer and you can get it monsterous, it's pretty great. Voice of Resurgence is pretty great, though. Voice's token can pretty reliably become a 3/3 or 4/4, and it basically functions like a Grand Abolisher in that the opponent doesn't want to give you a creature. The best option against it is a Path to Exile on the opponent's turn, which still results in ramp. Ghor-Clan Rampager is hardly ever cast as a creature, but the potential to be a 4/4 trampler is pretty rough, especially after they find a way around your smaller creatures.
Non-creature spells are pretty mainstream and expected. Lightning Bolt, Path to Exile, Lightning Helix, and Boros Charm are pretty common, creating openings, helping against burn, and protecting your stuff. Vines of Vastwood protects your creatures and is a nifty combat trick. Ghor-Clan Rampager is--more often than not--an uncounterable buff that can finish games.
The sideboard is a little scattered, but it has answers to Affinity, G/W Hexproof, discard strategies, Living End / other graveyard-based strategies, and blue decks.
