After seeing Rhys when I started getting into commander I knew I just had to build around him. Originally I was going to substitute him in as the commander for the Guided By Nature, but opted out when I read that Freyalize was an elf tribal commander, but Rhys was more tokens in general.

Ive built the deck with the idea of getting tokens en mass, either by multiple tokens per spell, or token generators like Ant Queen . Also included is the usual Populate Mechanic, Doubling Season , Parallel Lives , and the recently printed Anointed Procession for all the token goodstuff. Anointer Priest , Soul Warden , Essence Warden , and other lifegain things for a slight second strategy if needed due to meta commanders such as Omnath, Locus of Rage and Nekusaur. I have also Added Kozilek, Butcher of Truth due to Mill in our playgroup, card draw, Annihilator 4, and a 10 cmc card isnt that hard to cast in Commander.

I usually include several non-basic lands so I have some lands for colorfixing in the deck, however due to the high cost enchantments such as Doubling Season , Mana Reflection , and Earthcraft I have decided to go with mostly basics, though included them in the maybeboard.

If anyone has an idea of anything to add, or swap out for something better, please suggest to take something out in its place. As always comments, questions, and suggestions are always welcome!
