Izzet Risky Wizards is similar in concept as my other standard Izzet decks in that its all about drawing cards and casting spells to get our creatures to be huge swingers for leathal damage. The big change here is that with rotation happening we've lost access to cards like Open Into Wonder , As Foretold , and Pull from Tomorrow making swings and draw effects a little more restricted.

I replaced these with Mission Briefing and Risk Factor . While not the best replacements I think that Risk Factor is going to be a life saver late game when you need cards, especially if you have Niv-Mizzet, Parun on the board or if you've already done damage to your opponent (no one wants to take 4 damage late game).

On the other side we got Steam Vents , and access to cards like Goblin Electromancer , Beacon Bolt , and Ionize .

While not individually super great cards together with the general arch type of this deck will have us casting,countering, and getting damage in for our wins.
