I've been thinking about making this kind of deck for years. I wanted to make a deck that was based off the madness mechanic. Could possibly be improved with self-discard but it seems relatively functional now. There are plenty of damage spells that benefit from being discarded and being cast all at once to do massive damage or targeting creatures for some crowd control. There are also creatures that either force discard or benefit from being discarded. Tormod's crypt and Tormod himself for a limited recursion by self exiling the graveyard.
