Arcum eats any artifact creature and shits out a non-creature artifact from our deck for absolutely no additional cost. With a bit of untapping and fetch chains Arcum becomes a combo monster who remains highly competitive post Paradox Engine ban. This commander easily approaches cEDH level and we're running everything you expect and a few fun extras.

We don't need lands all that much or for that long and most provide us with bodies or some utility. A full package of mana rocks gives us the best chance of an explosive start and combos with all our untapping utility.

We run draw cards that let us look at and manipulate the library to try and keep expensive artifacts in the deck for Arcum to fetch.

We run several cheap untapping sources (like Intruder Alarm Thousand-Year Elixir) along with activated ability copiers to get as many activations off Arcum in a turn as possible.

We run some spell tutors to find Dramatic Reversal.

We run enough counterspells to cover deploying our important pieces.

We've got two stax pieces that limit lands untapped as we're quickly able to use artifacts to power our combos Rising Waters Stasis

And of course we have Lightning Greaves to protect Arcum

What are we shidding

Citanul Flute May not be strictly necessary anymore but it does find fuel for Arcum or utility creatures and helps in situations where we don't have sacrifices in hand. This is also a good card to start with as it doesn't generate a tremendous amount of threat on the board while preparing you to combo off.

Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Lattice and Worldslayer. Arcum can create an indestructible boardstate very quickly and then wipe everyone else.

Kaldra Compleat. Living weapon lets us find Kaldra with Arcum, provides a body for Worldslayer or generally in a pinch.

Portal to Phyrexia. I cut Spine of Ish Sah for this and I think its debatable if dropping this early beats the utility of nuking a permanent but we can clear boards and often steal decent pieces with it.

Isochron Scepter into Staff of Domination with Dramatic Reversal in hand.

Karn, the Great Creator and Mycosynth Lattice. Locks out opponents out of lands and rocks. Lattice also makes Hurkyl's Recall very potent.

You could cut Worldslayer, Kaldra Compleat in a more competitive list and run more counterspells.
