Just another try to make a solid Golgari Deck. I am trying a lot of combinations and this is next.
Dreg Mangler
Good rushdown creature, but it's more likely used on the grave, better with Varolz.
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
Helps to lower the cost of the Scavenge creatures and can regenerate sometimes, but its there just to be a nuisance.
Deadbridge Goliath Good big guy, makes for a good blocker and attacker as it's cost is not high and is a 5/5. Dead however it can buff another guy, say Deathrite or Lotleth.
Deathrite Shaman
Love them, little annoying bastards who can do a lot of things. They are also beasts on multiplayer.
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord Alternative win condition, gets pretty big late game, can come back from grave, "combos" with Lotleth, can make an one hit kill in TwoHeads, pretty good actually.
Lotleth Troll
The principal win condition, gets big really fast, can regenerate and tramples. Have to be used with caution, however, since discarding all creatures at once can lead to a downfall very quickly.
Slitherhead
Good 1/1 blockers for turn 1, however it's purpose is to be used to buff lotleth and other guys when discarded or put in grave with Grisly Salvage. Maybe I will trade one of these with Deadbridge Chant or anything with cost 3 since it's lacking...
Abrupt Decay One, if not the, best removal in the block. Also my favorite card from the block. And a pretty useful one to deal with basically ANYTHING early game.
Grisly Salvage Good for putting Slitherheads and Deadbridge Goliaths on the grave and fuelling Deathrite Shaman and Deadbridge Chant, also gives targets for Treasured Find and can deal with mana problems as well.
Putrefy
Removal for bigger things.
Overgrown Tomb
The mana lifesaver, however 4 is too much self applied damage =(
Rogue's Passage An unexpected finisher if you can believe.
Vraska the Unseen Removal for even bigger things, also a pretty shameful alternative win condition.
Treasured Find With Grisly Salvage and the removal spells, this card is really good, almost like some kind of tutor.
This deck have lots of problems with aggressive lifegain decks (like boros), but it has some advantages against selfsacrificing ones that can't deal with Lotleth regen.
