Hello everyone and welcome to my budget red/green aggro deck! This is a cheap deck that focuses on two game mechanics that work wonders together. The two mechanics are bloodrush(and pumps in general) and doublestrike (specifically the slaughtermaster). The deck focuses on getting a large amount of damage in early on through the use of efficient early game creatures, pumps, doublestrike, and also does its best to keep card advantage if your big guy gets killed. (rancor) It usually works out pretty well. It's a fun deck to play and can technically be played in modern, but let's face it; Unless you pay about 400 dollars on a modern deck, it's not gonna win.
Card Explanations
Viashino Slaughtermaster- This deck's MVP. It is so easy to go lethal with this guy. Pumps just give you so much and because he gets out early the opponent is always sweating. Although he might not be one of the best doublestrikers out there, he's cheap and he's powerful.
Boggart Ram-Gang- Another stellar early game player. Hits the board fast and hard and his wither ability makes wall strategies crumble. Doesn't quite get the same out of pumps like the slaughtermaster does but he gets the job done.
Flinthoof Boar- flinthoof is in here to replace Strangleroot Geist. I was just having too much mana issues with the geist and this is the best 2cmc creature to take his place. this guy will almost always be a 3/3 when you cast him and the extra ability to make him have haste is really awesome for making him a psuedo 3 mana card if you need him to be
Kird Ape- You're playing Red/Green, making this guy an almost auto-include. In this deck, Kird Ape is better than Jackal Pup for a turn one power-play. Rocking the one slot since the earliest of magic games, Kird ape is one BA Ape.
Ghor-Clan Rampager- One of the best Bloodrushers in magic, the rampager is good on the field or as a pump. Usually you will be using him to pump the slaughtermaster for that last surprise damage.
Rancor- Iconic green super pump, rancor is doubly deadly on the slaughtermaster.
Madcap Skills- makes your attacker even more difficult to deal with and is remarkably cheap for what it can do. Is usually a key player in a turn 4 win on the slaughtermaster given its +3 and its special ability
Lightning Bolt- the best of the best. the burn spell which sets the standard for all burn spells. Be it blowing up an annoying blocker or getting in the damage for the win, lightning bolt is the way to go.
Vines of Vastwood- Can be used to protect your big guys from removal and can usually also be used as a pump so really its a win-win
Burning-Tree Emissary- Need mana? She got it. This lovely lady really helps set up a good tempo and her 2/2 body is nothing to scoff at either.
Hey so this is supposed to be a budget deck so here are some replacements you can make in place of some of the more expensive cards, they're not as good but also not as expensive.

Lightning Bolt--> Forked Bolt/Searing Blaze/ or Shock
Rancor--> Bonesplitter
Vines of Vastwood--> Ranger's Guile or Giant Growth
Kird Ape--> Satyr Hoplite, Rakdos Cackler, Wild Dogs, or Stromkirk Noble
Boggart Ram-Gang--> Fanatic of Xenagos
Burning-Tree Emissary--> Experiment One
Flinthoof Boar--> Mogg Flunkies
Any suggestions on Improvements and any suggestion for a good sideboard are much appreciated!
