I started making this deck because I do not have a golgari commander deck and I own a copy of The Gitrog Monster. I did know before starting to make the deck that it's a powerfull card, as I have been destroyed by it during an FNM draft.

I decided to turn the deck into something that focusses on lands entering and leaving the battlefield. Besides the Hypnotoad the other stars are Titania, Protector of Argoth, Tireless Tracker and Rampaging Baloths.

A very nice card I discovered while searching is Squandered Resources (it showed up recently in one of the videos on the Command Zone as well)... that card is huge, especially when you combine it with Splendid Reclamation and/or Lotus Cobra.

Another great card is Baru, Fist of Krosa as it can pump nearly all my creatures and grant trample too. I have added Worm Harvest, which together with the land recursion can make Baru very dangereous.

With the release of Guilds of Ravnica I will definitely add Underrealm Lich to the deck. Initially I didn't have the Dakmor combo in the deck, but I have now added this as well. I didn't add the most important piece to make the combo go flawlessly: an eldrazi titan that shuffles the graveyard back into the deck when it goes to the graveyard. Why? 1) I don't have the card and 2) it adds a potential whiff to the deck which makes it more exciting. If my playgroup gets more competitive I may add try to obtain one though.

I appreciate all upvotes and comments. While I am not searching for help as I do think the list is okay, I always appreciate when someone brings up cool cards/interactions I might not have thought about.
