Sideboard

Seizan, the Perverter of truth is a card that turn the entire game around rapidly drawing and discarding cards, while also talking damage.

Most people tend to avoid him because Nekusar, the Mindrazer is a better choice, because you wont be taking damage and they lose damage for every draw. However, Seizan is mono color, which means faster and more progressive casting, his drawing and taking damage is twice as fast, so hopefully you can get your opponents to stop discarding, and finally, even though you will be taking two damage, it is nearly nothing since your opponents will be taking nearly ten times more.

Another reason you should play Seizan is because he is purely irritating and shapes the game completely different, he is truly fun to play.

When using Seizan, try to play him and then play cards the next turn that enhance his effect. You can gain complete control of the game if you play Silent Arbiter, and eventually destroy everyone.

Pros: - Gain control of game and watch your foes cry. - Easy to get mana and cast cards. - Aside from being unique and fun, this deck has a stable win rate, and it used to play competitively.

Cons: - Become the main target of the game. - You will be diminished by boardwipes. - Pretty expensive

Updates Add

  • Removed Consume Spirit: Although it is considered nice to use extra mana to gain some life back, Kokusho, the Evening Star is much more powerful so removing it leaves us to add something better.

  • Removed Thespian's Stage: Just wasn't needed in the deck; if you really want a land copy, you can go with Vesuva, but I'm still not putting it in sideboard.

  • Removed Charcoal Diamond from sideboard: With Cabal Coffers in there and quite a few artifacts, its really just not needed in or near the deck.

  • Moved Skullcage is being moved to sideboard: Being replaced by card below and dealt only 2 damage, and was only in some instances; don't be mistaken, however, still a great card!

  • Added Tree of Perdition: amazing card overall. This deck would obviously struggle with players who will gain back the life. With this card you can punish them and have either a great blocker or trade health with it if you have low health.

  • Howling Mine added from sideboard to main: Just a really good card and will most likely help you, you can also swap it out with Font of Mythos so you can add Leyline of the Void or Dismember.

  • Nighthowler added to main: Just a good lil dude early game and has huge potential late game when everything is dead and stuff.. Might be good to alternate this one with Leyline of the Void because the two contradict each other.
