The mana curve on this deck is freaking gorgeous and wonderfully consistent.
Lay down Experiment One, evolve it with Dryad Militant, Kalonian Tusker, Voice of Resurgence, or Call of the Conclave on the next turn & swing for two, throw down either another Kalonian Tusker or Call of the Conclave or Loxodon Smiter to further evolve the Experiment one, swing all out.
The fourth turn of this deck is where sh!t gets real. You can just about always follow up a turn 3 Loxodon Smiter with a turn four Ajani, Caller of the Pride. Activate Ajani's -2 to toss that elephant into the air for 8 damage. Or you could just slap down an Advent of the Wurm on turn 5, then Ajani turn six for a 5/5 flying double-strike wurm.
Ajani, Caller of the Pride, Experiment One, and the two Gavony Township really vibe well with Kalonian Hydra. I'd really like 2 or 3 more for the deck, but it was hard enough trading for the one that I have.
Brave the Elements gets in free hits or saves your dudes. 'Nuff said.
THE SIDEBOARD
Scavenging Ooze - This is an AMAZING sideboard card. Actually... it's an amazing card for the main deck! The reason it's in the sideboard is because I'd rather be playing my aggressive 3/3 two drops or Voice of Resurgence. Plus, if your opponent doesn't see the Ooze in game one, they won't expect it game two and it outright wins games. Especially when you bring out Kalonian Hydra.
The rest of the sideboard is typical Selesnya sideboard fare and should be pretty self explanatory.
I'll be taking this to my local FNM this week and will post the results.
