Shadowy Innistrad

Commander / EDH

Elaine___

Foreword's foreword: This is a vampire commander/edh deck using olivia voldaren as a commander (obviously it's red/black) with a focus on black. It uses buffing and creature death as its 2 main strategies, and was built out of a love of the vampire archetype. I looked at many Olivia Voldaren decks and felt that they just didn't feel right, like the strategy just didn't fit... I realized that vampires are a buff-focused creature type, with red/black vampires using creature death effects, and white/red/black (Edgar Markov) using tokens, and any deviation hampers the effectiveness of the choice of vampires.

Foreword: This is my first commander/EDH deck I'm really satisfied with, and actually decided to give a description, combo list, etc. for. Criticism is appreciated.

What do you think of when I say "A bloodline of vampires"? Do you think of powerful leaders, armies of accursed bloodsuckers, or a deeply bound sisterhood? (or a brotherhood too I guess but yay misandry! (I don't hate men I swear)) This deck would be the 1st and 3rd examples.

This deck is a proper buffing deck with cards like Adaptive Automaton, Bloodline Keeper  , Mephidross Vampire, and Others (Detailed Below). The important thing is the order of play. For Instance, First play Door of Destinies, then play your vampires.

This deck has a multitude of combo options, mainly in the form of effects upon creature death (Some activate when your creature(s) die, others activate when your opponent's creature(s) die).

Accordion Info: Cards in Panel 5 combo with cards in Panels 4 & 3.
