"If their ears are to the ground, we will make them bleed!"

This deck is an attempt to make an aggro deck in EDH themed around the Mardu of Tarkir. It's one of my cycle of Tarkir themed decks, all of which have the added goal of being able to swap the commander for the Fate Reforged counterpart, in this case, Alesha, Who Smiles at Death.

The deck is also employing a Warrior theme by using cards like Raiders' Spoils, Lovisa Coldeyes, and Blood-Chin Rager. Evasion, Card Draw, and Creature Buffs all make the theme worth it, however important flavor inclusions such as Dragonlord Kolaghan, make it difficult to dedicate enough to it to benefit from the ramp and card draw offered by spells like Herald's Horn and Vanquisher's Banner.

Additionally, the deck is extremely vulnerable to board wipes and other effects which can control the game state such as Humility, Glacial Chasm, Propaganda, and Cyclonic Rift which all have me considering War's Toll, Price of Glory, Pyroblast/Red Elemental Blast, and Flaring Pain.

These effects don't just slow the deck down, they completely invalidate it and I haven't even mentioned all the ones that do this. As is, it's a perfect case study as to why Aggro struggles in EDH.

I've defined a number of proactive categories for the deck. Card Draw, Ramp, and Removal are universal.

Haste is also self-explanatory as effects that let creatures swing immediately. I'm currently debating if there's value in creatures like Lightning Mauler or Bloodlust Inciter who can be a body in play while also providing haste to a key creature when necessary.
