Upon seeing the Nest of Scarabs spoiler, I wanted to make a deck around it. I wanted it, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Warstorm Surge at the very least, which required a 3 color deck. The Shattergang Brothers seemed like the best choice since they can make use of all the snakes and scarabs to sac them for removal. I like commanders with built in ramp/draw/removal. Who doesn't?

Turns out the idea didn't work and there was a big clunky duds if there were various gaps to the combo. So, I have embraced the removal of Shattergang and replaced the -1/-1 theme with an abundance of things for the brothers to sacrifice.

Very Concentrated Primary Theme: Recurring sacrifice across the board.
