Shotgun rats

Here's the basic run down. You have two kinds of cards in this deck: rats, and shotguns.

I call them "rats" because the deck idea originally came about through typhoid rats, but I added other death-touch creatures as well to fill the deck out. Rats are pretty much all the creatures in the deck (except Deathbringer Thoctar), which are cheap deathtouch creatures.

Shotguns are the second key ingredient. Shotguns are aura's with the effect: "Tap: creature deals 1 damage to target creature or player". Normally this wouldn't be too overpowered, but with deathtouch creatures these become literal shotguns, because the death touch will instantly kill any creature hit with it.

Other cards are curiosity which has a synergy with the shotgun rats to give you card draw, and eternal thirst, which can give some life gain and really buff up one of your creatures for a game winning smack. I also suggest unleashing the thrill-kill assassins, only because that opens you up to use them as attackers once your opponents field is cleared (and it will get cleared!)

Usually if I run this, I pull both a shotgun, rat, and the necessary mana in my opening hand. If you don't, I highly suggest doing a mulligan.

I've also found it tends to not fare too well against aggro decks or dash heavy decks, I'm considering throwing in a couple of counters for those situations.

From the sideboard, I haven't found thornbite staff particularly useful, especially considering by the time your opponents getting out more than one creature at a time you should be able to wipe their field every time, but there are some cases where it's useful (if your opponent gets an infinite token combo or something, this counters it with infinite token destruction.) Elder mastery is a bit expensive but can be fun just to frustrate your opponent and make them top deck. Warstorm surge has an obvious use, but again I didn't find myself needing it too often.
